We're excited to introduce our High School Program, which now includes Grade 10 as an essential step in the journey toward the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE), extending into Grades 11 and 12. Our goal is to ignite a love for learning, sharpen critical thinking skills, and broaden global perspectives among our students.

The Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education program for Grades 10-12

The HKDSE program for Grades 10-12 offers rigorous academics, flexibility in subject selection, holistic development, globally recognized qualifications, emphasis on critical thinking and bilingualism, preparing students for success in higher education and beyond.

Subject Offer

Students are able to select two to three elective subjects from an array of offerings such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, History, Economics, and Information and Communication Technology. Additionally, Physical Health Education and participation in After School Activities are required for all students.

Applied Learning Subjects (ApL)
• These are vocational subjects designed to provide practical knowledge and skills that can lead directly to further study or employment. Examples include Creative Studies, Media and Communication and Services.
Mathematics Extension Modules
For students who excel in Mathematics and wish to pursue more advanced topics, there are two extension modules:
• M1 (Calculus and Statistics)
• M2 (Algebra and Calculus)
These modules are optional and are taken in addition to the core Mathematics curriculum.

College Counselling support

At SAIS, experienced college counselors provide tailored support to Grade 9-12 students, guiding them through the college application process, from course selection to essay writing, to secure placements at institutions that match their ambitions and abilities.
